Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (March 28 1986). Pop singer. Known worldwide as Lady Gaga. Her mother, Cynthia Louise Bissett is the vice-president of Verizon's mobile provider. As a child of a Catholic family the child was raised in Manhattan's Upper East Side. The parents of her were enrolled at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, a religious elitist institution. From the time she was a child she was a lover of music. She began to play piano from a young age and wrote her first original song at the age of thirteen. She participated in open-mic nights. The singers she admired included queens Michael Jackson Madonna and David Bowie. After graduating from high school and matriculating at the Tisch School of Art of New York University where she was a music student. However, she did not finish her education. Instead, she began the career path of a musician.
